Since
its inauguration in 1946, Taiwan Navigation Company (TNC)
has adhered to its principles of making safety first and
giving customers topmost attention in order to render the
best service. In the past years, TNC has made steady progress,
thanks to the hard work of its staff and support from its
customers. Its performance has won plenty of praise and
confidence in all circles and established a good reputation
in the shipping industry.
At present, TNC is operating 38 vessels totaling
1,593,785
deadweight tons. In recent years, it has continued to improve
its services and efficiency. In June 1998, it satisfactorily
completed the privatization program and became a listed
enterprise. In July 1998, it won the certification of ISO
9002 and ISM Code. Meanwhile during these years it took
delivery of 13 new-building
bulkers, including 6 Panamax and 7 Handymax bulkers, contributing
much to its further growth.
Looking into the future, the company will continue to strive
forward under the catchwords of : "Teamwork, Challenge,
Innovation, and Service". It will enforce various plans
and diversify its operations. Its staff is confident that
business will continue to grow steadily and that they can
attain their goal of rendering world class services.
